Matthew 6:24
No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.
Many of our challenges are the result of misplaced treasure. Much of our stress and anxiety is rooted in a heart that isn’t aligned with what God values. How does Jesus address this?
1) You can’t take it with you, but you can send it ahead.
There is a difference between success and significance. Jesus is telling us to prepare for heaven by investing in things that will last.
2) Your heart will follow your habits.
You can direct your heart by having the right disciplines in your life. Are you intentional about creating space for God to shape your heart?
3) You can’t serve two systems.
The Bible says that a double-minded person is unstable in all their ways. Most people don’t have a resource problem, they have a focus problem. When we choose to follow Jesus we receive wisdom to focus our resources in areas that make the most lasting impact!
