There is a treasure in you! This weekend Pastor Zeb Mengistu from Beza International Church in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, shared an encouraging message called “The Hope of Glory!”
Colossians 1:26-27
“This mystery has been kept hidden for ages and generations, but is now disclosed to the Lord’s people. To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.”
One of the fundamental truths of the New Testament is that every believer in Christ is a repository of something precious and powerful. You were designed to carry Christ, the hope of glory!
2 Corinthians 4:7
But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.
Through prayer we are given access to a new experience in God’s presence and power. Every one of us has been given an invitation to go beneath the surface to explore the depths of God’s goodness.
Romans 8:11
And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you.
Our perspective changes when we spend time in the presence of God – burdens, anxieties and fears are lifted. Just as Jesus modeled a life of prayer and connection to the power of God, we are invited to the same life of victory through the Spirit!
